Rob Lee is the Managing Director and Project Manager for Common Extract, an award-winning studio specializing in Games Development. Several key projects of Common Extract include Ejen Ali Emergency with Media Prima Digital, Ummi Edu Apps with Hud Hud Media, and Coronation of HRH Sultan Ibrahim of Johor with Jabatan Penerangan.
Educated in RMIT University, Melbourne, his first startup PuffingNew was funded by an MDeC pre-seed grant and was a TechCrunch 50 Semi-Finalist in 2009. He co-founded mobile app ONz with William Yap, focusing on connecting the sports community and allowing players to play games anytime and anywhere. The app was later renamed FitMalaysia in conjunction and collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia.
He also co-founded SuperLilo with Edwin Loh, SuperLilo is a gamified advertising network that allows the user to get free photographs. SuperLilo brings together merchants and sponsors using a range of attractive promotions. Rob Lee is deeply involved in the local startup and entrepreneur scene, mentoring several startup events over the years throughout the Johor region. He is also the industry advisor for Sunway College Johor Bahru and has been interviewed by Sin Chew Daily Newspaper, Oriental Daily News, and 988 FM Radio. Rob Lee is also a member of Rotary Club of Tebrau, actively participating in charity work around the region.
